Girts Kesteris, a talented individual, came into this world on February 14th, 1964, in the charming city of Valmiera, which was then a part of the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic, located within the vast and storied Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, a political entity that has since ceased to exist, and has since evolved into the independent and sovereign nation of Latvia.
