Biography

Georgina McKevitt, a talented individual from Dublin, Ireland, has spent over a decade of her life in the United States. Her journey in the world of performing arts began at the tender age of 14 when she joined the prestigious Dublin Youth Theatre (DYT). DYT has a rich history of launching the careers of numerous prominent performers in film, television, theatre, and entertainment, including the renowned Aidan Gillen, known for his roles in The Wire and Game of Thrones.

During her time at DYT, Georgina had the opportunity to perform in a wide range of productions, from main stage shows to in-house productions, while honing her skills in various theatrical disciplines. Her experience at DYT not only helped her develop her craft but also provided her with a solid foundation for her future endeavors.

In 2007, Georgina co-founded Wicked Angels Productions with Jacinta Sheerin. Together, they wrote, produced, and performed in their debut play, 'Waiting for IKEA'. This groundbreaking production holds the distinction of being the first show in the history of the Dublin Fringe Festival to sell out before its opening night. 'Waiting for IKEA' went on to receive widespread critical acclaim and 5-star reviews across Ireland, London, and Off-Broadway in New York. The duo also co-wrote and produced 'Im not A.D.H.D....Im B.O.L.D.', which won the prestigious Bewleys Theatre Little Gem Award in 2012.

Georgina's journey took her to the United States, where she performed on stage in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and numerous Off-Broadway productions in New York City. Her outstanding performance earned her a Best Actress nomination from the 1st Irish Theatre Festival. While in the US, she continued to refine her craft by training with esteemed institutions such as The Groundlings, The Acting Corp, Australian Institute of Dramatic Art, and UCLA's screenwriting program under the guidance of Billy Mernit.

Since returning to Ireland, Georgina has collaborated with notable figures in the industry, including Paula Malcomson on the TV show Redemption, Red Bear Productions' new play 'Once in a Lifetime' by Tracy Martin, Petrified, an award-winning horror fiction anthology podcast, Flying Turtles Productions' 'First Look' readings, and Film Network Ireland as a host for their podcast Wrapchats. Georgina has also received the Axis Assemble Bursary and was accepted onto The Gap Day Programme.
