Biography

George E. Fernandez, a multifaceted individual with a passion for storytelling, began his journey as a writer, penning several plays for theatrical performances. His breakthrough came with the Vietnam Trilogy, which premiered at the Veterans Theater in Los Angeles, California, and won the Drama-logue award for Best Actor for Richard Chaves' performance.

Fernandez then pursued a degree in Film from the University of Miami, honing his craft as a screenwriter and producer. In 1984, he turned his award-winning play into a feature film, Cease Fire, starring Don Johnson and Lisa Blount. The film received critical acclaim and resonated with the families of Vietnam Veterans, who adopted it as their own.

Fernandez's subsequent projects included the teen murder mystery, Shallow Grave, which was well-received in Europe, and the drama, Spanish Rose, starring Michael Pare, Barbara Carrera, and Michael Ironside. Throughout the 1990s, he ventured into television, creating and producing the European TV series pilots, Night Screams, as well as the reality TV pilots, Dinner At Eight and Best Line, and the Spanish pilot, LA CENA.

Recognizing the shift in the entertainment industry, Fernandez took a break to pursue a Master's degree in International Business Administration. He then taught screenwriting and production classes at Florida State University Film School, the School of Communication, and Tallahassee Community College, publishing three books during his tenure.

Currently, Fernandez is working on a horror screenwriting book, set to be released in the fall of 2006. He continues to write screenplays and develop programming for television, leaving a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
