Geneva Carr, a talented theater, film, and television actress, was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and spent her formative years in Michigan and the Carolinas before relocating to Atlanta, where she completed her high school education.
After graduating from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in French, Carr made the bold decision to move to Paris, where she furthered her education by earning a Master of Business Administration from the esteemed ESCP Europe Paris campus.
Prior to discovering her true calling, Carr worked for a French bank on Wall Street, but a chance encounter with an off-Broadway play prompted her to resign and pursue a career in the performing arts.
The subsequent years saw Carr honing her craft by bartending and hosting at trendy Manhattan establishments, such as Pastis and The Waverly Inn, while simultaneously booking voice-over work, commercials, short films, and participating in innovative off- and off-off-Broadway productions.
Before landing the coveted role of Marissa Morgan on CBS's hit series Bull in 2016, Carr received a Tony Award nomination for "Best Actress in a Play" for her standout performance as Margery in the critically acclaimed Broadway production of Hand to God.
Geneva Carr currently resides in New York City with her beloved Burmese cat, Eartha Kitty, and Eartha's half-brother, Hoffman. A polyglot, Carr is fluent in French and conversational in American Sign Language. In her free time, she enjoys hosting gatherings at home, savoring dry champagne, and indulging in dark chocolate.
