Gene Loveland's life began with a dramatic twist, as he was adopted by Lynn and Pat at just three days old. Growing up in the small town of Glenoma, Washington, 100 miles south of Seattle, Loveland's childhood was marked by adventure and a strong connection to the outdoors. Despite the town's proximity to the epicenter of Mount St. Helens, which erupted when Loveland was a child, he still spent most of his youth exploring the great outdoors, riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, and even keeping a pet deer named Bambi.
After graduating from White Pass High School, Loveland pursued higher education at Centralia Junior College, where he studied communications, radio and television, and theater. During his second year, he caught the attention of his peers and local critics with a powerful performance in an original play, earning critical acclaim and recognition of his acting potential.
However, Loveland's focus shifted away from academics when his professor advised him to have a backup plan. He left college and took a job at a local lumber mill to support his music career, recording demos in Seattle with producer Bill Gibson. Although the project didn't pan out, Loveland was soon chosen by Art Ford of Capital Records to lead a "young Eagles-type band," only to have the project fall apart on his birthday.
Undeterred, Loveland packed his bags and headed to Los Angeles, where he devoted himself to music and film. He landed his first TV role on The Young and the Restless and went on to star in over 10 short films, including Connection, Revenge, Lunch Break, and Noobz, as well as the feature film The Stray.
One of Loveland's most notable roles was in the award-winning short film "Choices," which he co-produced and won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Artisan International Film Festival. The film also received the award for Best Short. Loveland has since produced and acted in several feature films, including Spychosis and Roadside Stars.
In addition to his work in film, Loveland continues to nurture his lifelong passion for music. As a singer, songwriter, and musician, he records and performs regularly, showcasing his talents to audiences.
