Efthymis Filippou, a multifaceted creative force, was born on January 18, 1977, in Athens, Greece. This talented individual has worn many hats, including those of writer, screenwriter, playwright, journalist, and copywriter.
In 2007, Filippou published his novel "Someone talking to himself while holding a glass of milk" with MNP Publications, marking the beginning of his literary endeavors.
Two years later, in 2009, he collaborated with director and writer Yorgos Lanthimos on the critically acclaimed film "Dogtooth". This was the start of a long-standing creative partnership between the two, which has resulted in three feature films to date, including "Alps" and "The Lobster".
Beyond his work with Lanthimos, Filippou has also had the opportunity to collaborate with other notable Greek directors, such as Babis Makridis on "L" and Athina Rachel Tsangari on "Chevalier".
In addition to his work in film, Filippou has also ventured into the world of theater, penning two plays, "Bloods" (2014) and "Excuse 4&5" (2016).
