Ricardo Blanco embarked on a career in theater, initially making a name for himself under the direction of renowned actress Norma Aleandro in a production of Cyrano de Bergerac. He also had the opportunity to take on roles in various Shakespearean plays, including A Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth.
Blanco's transition to the screen was marked by his debut in the film Victoria 392, where he crossed paths with and formed lasting bonds with director Juan José Campanella and screenwriter Fernando Castets. This chance encounter would prove to be the catalyst for a long-standing creative partnership, with Campanella and Castets going on to craft roles specifically tailored to Blanco's unique talents in a trilogy of films starring Ricardo Darín as the lead and Blanco as his trusted friend. The trilogy, which consisted of El Mismo Amor, la Misma Lluvia (1999),El Hijo de la Novia (2001),and Luna de Avellaneda (2004),showcased Blanco's impressive range and versatility as an actor.
In addition to his work on the big screen, Blanco collaborated with Campanella once again in the television series Vientos de agua (2006),further solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile performer.
