Biography

Keenan Wynn's father, an esteemed comedian of yesteryear, rose to fame through the recommendation of his own son, Keenan Wynn, and went on to become one of the world's most beloved clowns and a renowned actor of his time.

Born on November 9, 1886, this veteran of the stage made his mark by performing in the illustrious Ziegfeld Follies and later welcomed a son, Keenan, into the world in 1916.

As his career progressed, he took to writing his own shows, which became known as the Perfect Fool, and at the tender age of 54 in 1941, he became a grandfather.

Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, he solidified his reputation as a versatile actor, with his most iconic roles including The Ed Wynn Show in 1949 and the memorable Uncle Albert in Mary Poppins, released in 1964, which showcased his trademark old-world charm.

Despite his advanced age, he continued to entertain audiences until his passing in 1966, at the ripe old age of 79.
