Ed Gonzalez Moreno, formerly known as Ed Berkeley, was born in the city of New Britain, Connecticut, where he was raised by a single mother in one of the most crime-ridden areas of the state. Throughout his childhood, Ed found solace in the world of theatre, using it as an escape not only from the daily struggles he faced, but also from the harsh realities of his neighborhood.
Ed's passion for acting led him to attend Central Connecticut State University, where he honed his craft under the guidance of an exceptional team of professors. However, after three years of studying, Ed felt an insatiable desire to enter the professional world of acting, and he made the bold decision to drop out of college and begin his career in the San Francisco/Bay Area.
Since then, Ed has taken the Bay Area theatre market by storm, working with a diverse range of esteemed theatre companies, including Berkeley Rep, Cal Shakes, Aurora Theatre, San Francisco Playhouse, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and many others.
In addition to his impressive theatre credits, Ed has also made a name for himself in the commercial world, appearing in a variety of advertisements for prominent brands such as Nerdwallet, LinkedIn, Levi's, and Apple.
