Duncan's early life was marked by a unique environment, as his mother, Frances Maislater, was one of the first girls to work for Playboy in the UK when Victor Lownes came to Britain in the 1960s to establish the Playboy empire. Maislater served as Victor's personal secretary for five years, from 1973 to 1975, and later became the Bunny Recruitment Officer.
Growing up, Duncan was exposed to a diverse range of mesmerizing actors, including Peter Cook, John Cleese, Warren Beatty, and Michael Caine, among many others. As a 5-year-old boy, he would watch in amazement, his eyes fixated on the performances before him, and this fascination marked the beginning of his lifelong passion for the industry.
Fifteen years later, Duncan's fascination with acting had only grown stronger. He had been involved in school plays and local theatre groups, and it was a natural progression for him to pursue a career in acting. He joined the actors' temple, where he was able to take his passion seriously and master his craft. After making a significant impression on the acting coaches, Duncan opted for one-to-one coaching to further hone his skills.
Duncan's early career was marked by appearances in TV ads and music videos, but he soon landed his first major role in a feature film, THE RAPTURE, written and directed by William Steel. In this film, he played the role of Ray Powers, an ex-SBS military hard man, alongside legendary actors Stephen Birkoff, Danny Dyer, Geoff Bell, Martin Kemp, and Gary Kemp. THE RAPTURE was followed by DESTINY, which was set to start filming in September 2011.
Duncan's subsequent roles included a lead part in the East End gangland film THUGS, MUGS & VIOLENCE, directed by Djonny Chen, written by Jamie O'keefe, and produced by Paul Knight. In this film, he played Alfie, the youngest of the three Davis brothers, a notorious East End family with a bloodline dating back to the Kray twins. The film also featured boxing legend Joe Egan, Carlton Leach, Joe Pyle, and Laura Meakin.
Duncan has secured further roles in three movies, which are set to be released later this year, ensuring that audiences will have the opportunity to see more of him in the future.
