Dixie Light's formative years unfolded in Colombia, South America, where she was nurtured and shaped by the vibrant cultural landscape. However, her life took a dramatic turn when her family relocated to her father's hometown of Whiteville, North Carolina, a small town that would later become a catalyst for her passion for dance. It was during this period that she was inspired by her sister's dance recitals, which sparked a desire within her to take up dancing herself. As fate would have it, her big break arrived when she landed a role as a principal dancer in the film "Radioland Murders," a project that was part of the esteemed Lucasfilm production company. This success was soon followed by another notable project, "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles," which further solidified her position as a talented dancer.
Subsequently, Dixie Light embarked on a journey that would take her around the world, as she joined the ranks of professional dancers on cruise ships. This experience not only honed her craft but also broadened her horizons, as she had the opportunity to travel to various destinations and perform for diverse audiences. Upon her return, she decided to pursue a degree in performing arts at Northwest Florida State College, where she was fortunate to be mentored by the accomplished director, Armand Coutu. Under his guidance, her passion for acting continued to grow, and she eventually became a fixture in the Atlanta entertainment scene. Over the course of the last two decades, she has worked on numerous commercials, independent films, and television projects, solidifying her status as a talented and versatile performer.
