After a prolonged period of exploration and travel throughout the United States and the world, Dihlon's sense of adventure and wanderlust began to wane, and he decided to settle down and pursue a new passion - acting. At the age of 28, he found himself in Santa Cruz, California, where he made his debut on stage as The Drunk in the production of "The Time Of Your Life" with Bear Republic Theatre.
Throughout his illustrious career, Dihlon has had the privilege of portraying a wide range of characters, from the iconic Shakespearean role of Macbeth to the enigmatic figure of God in "The Charlie Manson Story".
One of his most notable performances was as Mike in the critically acclaimed play "East", written by Steven Berkoff. This production ran for over a year, from 1990 to 1991, at various esteemed venues, including The Magic Theatre in San Francisco and LaMaMa in New York City. Dihlon's outstanding performance earned him The Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Best Actor Award, and the play itself received a Los Angeles Drama-Logue Best Ensemble Award and an Obie Award.
Dihlon's dedication to his craft is evident in his extensive training at The Beverly Hills Playhouse, where he studied acting under the guidance of renowned instructors Milton Katselas, Jeffrey Tambor, Richard Lawson, and Gary Imhoff for a period of eight years.
