Diego Ayala, a 30-year-old Chilean screenwriter, has garnered widespread acclaim for his captivating storytelling abilities. Born and raised in Santiago, Ayala's initial major success came in 2017 with the film "Sin Filtro", which catapulted to the second most-watched film in Chile's history, attracting a massive attendance of 1.3 million spectators.
Furthermore, the film's global impact was evident, as it was acquired by more than 15 countries, underscoring its far-reaching appeal.
Building upon this success, Ayala joined the team of screenwriters for the second season of the highly acclaimed Netflix series "Luis Miguel", as well as the Disney+ series "Entrelazados". His work on these projects solidified his reputation as a multifaceted screenwriter.
In his latest endeavor, Ayala penned "Desconectados", the inaugural original Chilean comedy film for Prime Video. The film was an enormous success and received a nomination for Best Ibero-American Comedy Film at the esteemed Platino Awards in 2023.
