Devin Renee DeVasquez was born on June 25, 1963, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to a father from Madrid, Spain, and a mother of Irish descent. She began her modeling career early, being featured in the October 1981 issue of Playboy in a college pictorial, and later becoming Playboy's Playmate of the Month in June 1985.
DeVasquez's success on the cover of Playboy led to her being one of the first Hispanic Playmates to be featured on the cover of the magazine, and she went on to win $100,000 on the television talent show Star Search in 1986. This win paved the way for her acting career, which included roles in films such as House 2, Can't Buy Me Love, and Society, as well as a guest appearance on the FOX series Married...With Children.
In addition to her acting career, DeVasquez has also written several books, including The Naked Truth About A Pinup Model, True Age, Timeless Beauty, My Husband's A Dog, My Wife's A Bitch, and The Day It Snowed In April. She has also written for various magazines, including Westlake magazine, Splash magazine, and Primo magazine for Belgium, and is an active blogger on her website, where she chronicles her life and travels.
DeVasquez has been recognized for her work as a producer on the Amazon Prime series The Bay, winning three Emmys for her efforts. In her personal life, she has dated several high-profile celebrities, including rock star Prince in 1985 and actor Sylvester Stallone in 1988. She married actor Ronn Moss, who played Ridge Forrester on the CBS series The Bold and the Beautiful, on September 25, 2009.
DeVasquez has also been involved in philanthropic efforts, creating Devin's Kickass Cajun Seasoning and donating the proceeds to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
