Debra McClutchy is a multifaceted individual with a passion for filmmaking and content creation. She is a Brooklyn-based independent filmmaker with a diverse range of credits to her name.
One of her most notable recent projects is co-directing THE MARTHA MITCHELL EFFECT, a 40-minute archival documentary short that garnered an Academy Award nomination. The film was distributed by Netflix and premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival.
Before this, she co-produced THE BOOKSELLERS, a feature documentary that delves into the world of rare books in New York. The film premiered at the 2019 New York Film Festival and is currently distributed by Greenwich Entertainment.
McClutchy's experience in the film industry spans over a decade, during which she held various roles. For eleven and a half years, she was a senior creative member at Oscilloscope Laboratories, a film distribution company in New York City founded by Adam Yauch of Beastie Boys.
At Oscilloscope Laboratories, she was responsible for creating special-edition home video releases, managing film restorations, and overseeing print publications. She also co-created an interactive documentary about the company's founding.
In addition to her work at Oscilloscope Laboratories, McClutchy has also worked as a producer for The Criterion Collection in New York City and as an associate producer in documentary television in New York City and San Francisco.
When she's not working on films or other creative projects, McClutchy enjoys exploring the five boroughs of New York City on her bike and honing her pizzaiola skills.
