Dave's life took an unexpected turn, as he didn't begin his acting career until he was 50 years old. Prior to that, he had a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service in the late 1960s.
Dave's entrepreneurial spirit led him to run a successful power equipment sales and repair business for an impressive 33 years, alongside a U-Haul truck business that he operated for 16 years. Throughout his professional journey, his friends and family consistently encouraged him to pursue a career in show business.
It wasn't until 1996 that Dave took a philosophy course called the Landmark Forum, which ultimately led him to join the Kentwood Players at the Westchester Playhouse, a local community theatre group he had heard about his entire life. After participating in approximately 16 productions with the Kentwood Players, Dave made his debut at the Space Theatre in Hollywood.
Following his successful performance, Dave was approached by his current manager, who implored him, "Please tell me you're not represented." With his newfound passion for acting, Dave retired from his power equipment business in January 2013 and has been acting full-time ever since.
