Dan Chisu is the esteemed organizer of the oldest film festival in Romania, the DaKINO International Film Festival, which has been held annually in Bucharest since 1991.
With a keen eye for storytelling, Chisu has created a series of captivating documentaries for television, including "Around the World in 80 Days" (2004),"Reality of a Myth - Peruvian Shamans" (2007),and "The Earth's Taste in 80 Spices" (2008).
In addition to his documentary work, Chisu has also ventured into television production, starring in and producing the popular show "I Eat, Therefore I Am," which was broadcast on national television for four years.
As a published author, Chisu has written several books, including "Alone Under the Shower" (2004),"The Studio in the Forest of Cranes," "100 Times About," and "Stories About Recipes" - 2 volumes.
In 2008, Chisu made his directorial debut with the independent feature film "WebSiteStory," which was released in 2010. He followed this success with his second film, "Ursul (The Bear)," which was released in the spring of 2011. His third film, "Si Caii Sunt Verzi pe Pereti (Chasing Rainbows)," was released in November 2012.
Currently, Chisu is working on two feature projects, "Deja Vu" and "Youtube Bazaar," both of which are in post-production.
