Biography

Cristina's life is a testament to her passion for the arts, with her journey beginning in Lucca, Italy, where she was born to an American mother and an Italian father. From a young age, she was drawn to the world of ballet, attending classes and performances, and later, she honed her skills in languages, studying English, French, and German in high school, culminating in a thesis on Jean Anouilh's "Antigone".

Her love for cinema led her to move to Rome, where she pursued a degree in Communication Sciences at "La Sapienza" University, with a thesis on the intersection of cinema and fashion. Concurrently, she honed her acting skills at the Duse International Academy, under the guidance of Francesca De Sapio, and participated in numerous seminars with renowned coaches, including Susan Main, Michael Margotta, Juan Carlos Corazza, Bob Mc Andrew, Matteo Belli, and Mamadou Dioume.

As she began her professional career, Cristina worked on various projects in cinema, television, and theatre, both domestically and internationally. Her creative endeavors extended to writing, with a particular fondness for short stories and poetry. In 2007, she wrote, directed, and starred in her first short film, which garnered positive reviews and awards, encouraging her to continue exploring her passion for directing.

Cristina's professional trajectory has been marked by numerous collaborations, including her work as a journalist for "Alias" and a columnist for Loschermo.it. She has also organized the "Effetto Cinema Notte" event, coordinated educational meetings on cinema, and served as the artistic director of the "Il Teatro dei Perché" festival within the "Festival del Volontariato".

In 2018, she created "Scrivere Cinema," a free, high-level training course, supported by MiBAC and SIAE, as part of the "Sillumina - Copia privata per i giovani, per la cultura" initiative, organized by the Lucca Film Festival and Europa Film Festival. Additionally, in 2019, she took on the role of Artistic Director of Firenze Film Corti.
