Child actor Christopher Dylan Shea was born on February 5, 1958, in Los Angeles County, California, marking the beginning of a promising career in the entertainment industry. As the older brother of fellow child actors Eric Shea and Stephen Shea, Christopher was already surrounded by a supportive family that would play a significant role in his future endeavors.
Christopher's early start in the industry led to a regular role as "Joey Starett" on the short-lived western TV series Shane, which aired in 1966. His talent and dedication also earned him guest appearances on popular TV shows such as Bonanza, The Invaders, Green Acres, and The Odd Couple.
However, Christopher is perhaps most renowned for his iconic voice role as the precocious "Linus Van Pelt" in a series of beloved "Peanuts" TV specials, including the timeless holiday classics A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, both of which were released in 1965 and 1966, respectively.
After a long and illustrious career, Christopher settled in Humboldt County, California, where he resided for over 20 years. Tragically, his life was cut short at the age of 52, when he passed away on August 10, 2010, due to natural causes near his home in Honeydew, California. He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Straton, and their two daughters, Nicea and Teal Straton-Shea.
