Christian Volckman is a multifaceted French creative, boasting a rich background as a film director, author, and painter. His educational foundation is rooted in his graduation from the esteemed Ecole Supérieure d'Arts Graphiques in Paris.
Volckman's most notable work is the motion capture animation feature film Renaissance, which boasts an all-star voice cast including Daniel Craig, Romola Garai, Jonathan Pryce, and Ian Holm. This critically acclaimed film garnered widespread recognition, taking home the Feature Film Award at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in 2006 and the Best Feature Film award at the 5th Festival of European Animated Feature Films and TV Specials in 2007. Miramax distributed the film worldwide.
In addition to Renaissance, Volckman has directed numerous music videos, including "Miss Chang" and "Once upon a Time" for the group Chinese Man, as well as "Paris sera toujours Paris", "Sous le ciel de Paris" et "Champs Elysées" for the singer ZAZ. He also directed "Requiem" for Alma, which represented France at the Eurovision 2017.
Currently, Volckman is scheduled to direct The Room, starring Olga Kurylenko. He is also developing two other projects: Rapaces ("Predator") produced by Oriflammes Films, and The Kid produced by Bidibul productions and Superprod.
Outside of his film career, Volckman is actively pursuing his passion for painting, with his work showcased globally.
