Chinmay Mandlekar is a renowned Indian actor, stage director, and writer, particularly recognized for his work in the Marathi entertainment industry.
He completed his schooling at St. Sebastian Goan High School and later studied at the ML Dahanukar College of Commerce in Mumbai. Mandlekar began his career in theatre plays at the age of 15 and went on to graduate from the National School of Drama with a diploma in production.
Mandlekar's early acting career included roles in Marathi television series such as Vadalvaat (2005),Asambhav (2007),and Agnihotra (2009). He also made his debut in the Marathi film industry with Zenda (2009) and Jogwa (2009).
His breakthrough role came with the TV series Tu Tithe Me (2012),where he played a prominent character opposite Mrunal Dusanis. The show ran for two years before its final episode was released in 2014.
Mandlekar's notable roles in Marathi films include Gajaar: Journey of the Soul (2011),Swami Public Ltd. (2014),Lokmanya Ek Yugpurush (2015),Mahanayak- Vastant Tu (2015),Reti (2016),Sameer (2017),Halal (2017),among others.
Apart from his work in Marathi films and TV shows, Mandlekar has also appeared in various Hindi films, such as Tere Bin Laden (2010),Shanghai (2012),The Kashmir Files (2022),and Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh (2023).
Mandlekar has also ventured into writing and producing. He wrote the screenplay for the successful Marathi movie Duniyadari (2013) and has his own production company, Mulakshar Productions, with Digpal Lanjekar.
In addition to his acting and writing credits, Mandlekar has also received several awards and accolades for his work. His film Duniyadari won three awards at the 51st Maharashtra State Awards, including the Best Screenplay award.
Mandlekar is married and has two children, a daughter and a son.
