Cheri Caffaro, a stunning blonde bombshell, was born in 1945 in Miami, Florida, and rose to fame as a model in the 1960s, winning a "Lifetime" magazine Brigitte Bardot lookalike contest as a teenager. She went on to achieve significant notoriety in 1970s exploitation cinema, playing the role of Ginger McAllister, a sexy, resourceful, and formidable undercover government agent, in a trio of drive-in soft-core action romps: Ginger (1971),The Abductors (1972),and Girls Are for Loving (1973). As Ginger, she brought a hard, fierce, steely edge and raw, earthy, unbridled sex appeal to the role, making her a captivating and unsettling presence on screen.
Cheri's filmography also includes notable performances in A Place Called Today (1972),where she played a stuck-up spoiled rich woman, Savage Sisters (1974),where she portrayed a tough revolutionary, and Too Hot to Handle (1977),where she starred as a cunning, deadly, yet enticing international lady assassin. Although her acting career was relatively short-lived, Cheri went on to co-write and co-produce the comedy hoot H.O.T.S. (1979) and served as an associate producer for the horror flick The Demons of Ludlow (1983).
Cheri's last known credit is providing a voice for the cartoon TV series Extreme Ghostbusters (1997). She has since retired from the entertainment industry and now lives in Los Angeles, where she raises her own honey bees.
