Cedric Gegel, the third of four siblings, was born and raised in the charming town of Wapakoneta, Ohio. From a very young age, Cedric demonstrated a natural flair for performing, which would eventually become a defining characteristic of his life's journey.
Cedric's academic pursuits took him to Wapakoneta High School, where he graduated in 2013. He then went on to attend Capital University, where he studied a triple threat of disciplines: theatre, public relations, and English literature. Cedric's academic tenure at Capital University concluded in 2017, marking a significant milestone in his educational journey.
As a budding entrepreneur, Cedric co-founded Just a Skosh Productions, a company that has enabled him to express his creative vision through various mediums. His directorial debut, the indie family fantasy film "Cadia: The World Within," was a significant achievement, featuring an impressive cast that included Corbin Bernsen and James Phelps.
In addition to his work in film, Cedric has also ventured into the realm of stage acting. His award-nominated performances have earned him recognition for his portrayal of Robert F. Kennedy in "Kennedy: Bobby's Last Crusade," the Beast in "Beauty and the Beast," Pippin in "Pippin," and Link Larkin in "Hairspray." In 2024, he will be seen in the play "Butterflies Are Free" alongside the talented Morgan Fairchild.
Beyond his work in the entertainment industry, Cedric is also an educator. He runs a popular YouTube channel where he shares his expertise on storytelling, cinematography, editing, acting, production design, and vocal technique. Through his channel, Cedric has been able to educate thousands of viewers on the intricacies of the filmmaking process.
In the summer of 2023, Cedric made the decision to relocate to the metro New York City area, where he currently resides with his wife. Despite his new surroundings, Cedric continues to be a nomadic performer, traveling the country to work on various indie film projects and stage roles.
