Catherine Adkins, known as Cathy, was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where her father, a special education teacher in the San Francisco Unified School District, found his passion working with at-risk teens at Log Cabin Ranch in La Honda, California.
Attending Mercy High School in Burlingame, Cathy earned the Bank of America Drama Award for outstanding achievement in Drama, setting the stage for her future career in the performing arts.
Her professional career began in 1998, when she toured the one-woman show "Shirley Valentine", starring in the Agency attended a performance, offering her representation. She landed her first role in the Clint Eastwood film, "True Crime", marking the beginning of a successful career.
Since then, Cathy has worked alongside accomplished actors, including Isaiah Washington, Betty White, Robert Hays, Richard Gere, and Will Smith. Her latest project, the Netflix series "Sense8", directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski, is set to be released in 2015.
Cathy is represented in both San Francisco and Los Angeles markets, and her television credits include "The Forgotten", "Wonder Woman", "Nash Bridges", and various pilots.
