Carly Fawcett, a renowned actress and director, embarked on her creative journey at the tender age of four, experimenting with her father's Hitachi video camera and unlocking a lifelong passion for storytelling.
As she grew in expertise, Fawcett delved into the realm of modern realism acting methods, ultimately graduating from the esteemed Neighborhood Playhouse school of Theatre in New York City, where she honed her skills in the Meisner technique. Her extensive experience has taken her to various sets and stages across Vancouver, New York City, Montreal, Toronto, and Kelowna.
Notably, Fawcett's theatre credits include the critically acclaimed Canadian premiere of "Jerusalem" at Streetcar Crowsnest Theatre in Toronto, which earned multiple Dora Awards.
In addition to her work on stage, Fawcett has also ventured into self-producing and writing, culminating in the creation of a one-woman show titled "Rock Bottom", which premiered at the Fringe and garnered the coveted "Pick of the Fringe" award in 2021. Furthermore, her project "Hitch-hiked" won her the Best Director award at the O.W.T.F.F. in 2021.
Fawcett's impressive repertoire also includes her lead performance in the indie drama "Only People", which took home the Best Feature award at the Canadian Independent Film Festival in 2019. Her most recent short film, the mockumentary "Dad Bod Dale", co-created by Fawcett, has garnered widespread recognition, securing five wins and six nominations, including the Best Female Director award.
