Carlos Agulló, a graduate of Fine Arts, began his career in the film industry as an Editor, working alongside some of Spain's most renowned directors. Concurrently, he developed his skills as a Director, creating a multitude of fiction short films.
Carlos's transition to feature-length films was marked by the release of "Plot for Peace" in 2013, which premiered in commercial cinemas across numerous countries. The New York Times selected it as their critic's pick upon its US premiere, while Variety included it in their list of 18 favorites for the Academy Award for Best Documentary. "Plot for Peace" went on to win accolades at various international film festivals and was made available on Netflix globally for five years.
Carlos's subsequent feature-length film, "Los Demás Días" (also known as "All the Other Days"),was produced by Fernando Bovaira, a respected producer with a string of critically acclaimed films to his name. The film received widespread critical acclaim and was broadcast on Movistar for two years.
In recent years, Carlos has worked as a second unit Director on Alejandro Amenábar's series "La Fortuna". Additionally, he has directed his first series, "The Challenge", which premiered on Amazon Original in March 2022.
