Camille Morales-Zayas is a multifaceted creative professional, boasting a rich background in writing, directing, and producing. Hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, she has made a name for herself in the film industry, currently residing in Austin, Texas.
Her academic journey commenced at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, complemented by a minor in Film Studies. This foundation laid the groundwork for her future endeavors in the cinematic world.
Furthering her education, Morales-Zayas attended The University of Carlos III in Madrid, Spain, where she delved into the realm of Film Production and explored her passion for International Cinema. This international exposure undoubtedly broadened her artistic horizons and influenced her unique perspective as a filmmaker.
Morales' work has garnered recognition and accolades, with her films being showcased at various prestigious festivals worldwide. These include the Docs Without Borders Film Festival, Cine Sol Film Festival, Berlin Indie Film Festival, Fayetteville Film Fest, Panorama International Indie Film Festival, FlickFair Film Festival, Deep in the Heart Film Festival, and the New York Indie Shorts Awards.
Most recently, Morales-Zayas has completed her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Film and Media Production at The University of Texas at Austin, as part of the esteemed Radio, Television and Film program. This advanced degree has equipped her with the technical expertise and creative vision to tackle complex projects and push the boundaries of storytelling.
