Biography

Calah Lane's remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of four, when she landed her first lead role in a stage production at the Dallas Summer Musical Theater, now rebranded as Broadway Dallas. This initial success was swiftly followed by a principal role in a commercial for AT&T, which was aired at the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium and witnessed by an impressive audience of over a million fans.

As her career progressed, Calah worked on numerous films and nationally televised commercials, modeled for various companies and magazines, and dedicated herself to giving back to her community. Her first film lead role was in the award-winning short film, Bad Things, which earned her the prestigious title of Best Actress in a Short Film at the Warner Brothers Young Entertainer Awards, held in Burbank, California.

This achievement was soon surpassed by her starring role in the feature film, The Day Shall Come, which premiered at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. Following this success, Calah's family made the bold decision to relocate from Texas to California, paving the way for her continued growth and development as an actress.

Calah's subsequent projects include the short film, Junebug, directed by Winter Dunn and showcased at various prestigious film festivals, including IssaRae Short film Sundays, the American Black Film Festival, HollyShorts, the Pan African Film Festival, and more. One of her most memorable performances was as a backing vocalist for a popular Grammy-nominated artist, singing in front of an audience of 10,000 fans. Her most recent voiceover singing role is on Disney Jr.'s FireBuds.

As a creative individual, Calah has written numerous scripts, including a 2-minute short film that she wrote, directed, and produced at the age of 9.
