Biography

Here is the biography of Brian Herskowitz:

Brian Herskowitz is a multifaceted individual with a wide range of accomplishments in the entertainment industry. He has produced several feature films, including "Before Someone Gets Hurt" and "Tio Papi", as well as the unproduced pilot "CoOp - THE GUITAR".

As the Senior V.P. of Production and head of the West Coast Office for Artists/Media Cooperation (CoOp),Brian worked on several projects, including Candace Bushnell's web series "The Broadroom" and the feature film "Before Someone Gets Hurt". He also spent five years as the Chief Creative Officer for Horror Equity Fund (HEF),where he oversaw script reading and development, created pitch decks and proposals, and vetted projects for commercial viability.

In addition to his work in film, Brian has also written and directed several short films, including "Odessa or Bust" and "Joanne", which have received awards and recognition. He has also written and directed a new short content series, "Murray Ghost", which is currently making the rounds on the festival circuit.

As a writer, Brian has completed over a dozen feature films, including "Kami Hito E" and "Darkroom". He has also written a novel, "Conceptus", and is working on a second book in the series.

Brian has also had a successful career in television, working as a staff writer on the NBC sitcom "Blossom" and writing multiple episodes of the syndicated series "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys". He has also worked as a punch-up writer on several projects, including "Bob Patterson" and "Listen Up".

In addition to his work in film and television, Brian has also taught screenwriting for over 30 years, holding positions at Writer's Boot Camp, UCLA Extensions, and Boston University in Los Angeles. He has also written a scriptwriting textbook, "Process to Product: A Practical Guide for the Screenwriter", which is available on Amazon.com and in bookstores.

Brian is a member of the Writer's Guild of America West, the Producer's Guild of America, and SAG-AFTRA. He is also a world champion in Judo and Jiujitsu and holds a black belt in Kenpo Karate. He is married to actress Gina Hecht and has two beautiful and talented daughters who work in the entertainment industry.
