Brent Florence is a multifaceted creative force, exceling as a writer, director, and actor. He has garnered widespread recognition for his work on award-winning films such as "Eagles In The Chicken Coop" and "A Girl, Three Guys and a Gun", which he wrote, directed, and starred in.
Born in Ojai, California, Brent's passion for acting and writing began at the tender age of eleven, when he landed a role in a production of West Side Story. He subsequently immersed himself in the arts, acting in numerous productions and studying in Ojai and Santa Barbara. By 1994, Brent's love for surfing led him to travel the globe, eventually producing and directing his first nonfiction surf-film, "One Track Mind", which was sold and distributed internationally.
After completing his degree at USC's School of Cinema, Brent collaborated with Lloyd A. Silverman to produce the feature film "The Solid Ones", which he wrote and directed. The film received widespread acclaim and was ultimately sold and distributed under the title "A Girl, Three Guys And A Gun".
Brent's subsequent feature film, "Eagles In The Chicken Coop", attracted a star-studded cast, including Oscar-nominated Kathleen Quinlan. The film won numerous awards, including Best Picture and Audience Award at several film festivals, and Brent was nominated for Best Directing, Best Screenwriting, and Best Picture at the Milan International Film Festival, taking home the Leonardo DaVinci's Horse Award for Best Screenwriting.
Brent has also made a name for himself in the commercial world, directing campaigns for the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and Qualcomm, as well as acting in feature films such as "God Send" and "Meet Me In Montenegro", which won the Spirit Award.
In addition to his commercial and feature film work, Brent has completed multiple spec screenplays and TV pilot scripts, and is currently in development of his next narrative feature film, a psychological thriller.
