Brad Dourif's acting career began with a speaking role in Lifetime's "InspectorMom" alongside Danica McKellar and a football film "Invincible" with Mark Wahlberg. He then landed his breakout role as Tye Majors, a uniquely perverted sociopath and serial killer, in the independent feature film "Portrait of an American Family".
Throughout his career, Brad has acted in over 25 films, showcasing his versatility by playing characters such as Cutter in "Grim", Goyo in "The Reckoning", and Coach Vamp in "Blood on the Highway". He has also been interviewed for two film documentaries, two Dallas-based news reports, and has appeared in three television pilots, with one airing.
On stage, Brad has performed in seven plays, receiving rave reviews for his performances as Murray Burns in "A Thousand Clowns", Macbeth in "Macbeth", Tybalt in "Romeo and Juliet", Skelly Manor in "Rimers of Eldritch", Eckart in "Baal", Father Domineer in "Cock-A-Doodle-Dandy", Rip in "Mistress of the Inn", the Scientist in "The Rocky Horror Show", and Bill in "On Golden Pond".
Despite not initially intending to become an actor, Brad's passion for films led him to pursue a career in acting. Growing up in Southern Arizona, he was surrounded by movie locations and even planned to become a stuntman. However, a high-speed car accident in Europe left him with severe physical and neurological injuries, forcing him to re-learn how to walk, talk, and regain his memory and balance.
Following the shutdown of the airline industry after September 11th, Brad returned to his childhood interest in films and began acting, starting with voice-over training and conservatory studies for stage and screen. He studied intensely, graduating with honors, and has since developed the ability to create complex characters fully developed within a story.
