Berinthia Berenson, a renowned photographer and actress, was born in New York in 1948. She was the sister of Marisa Berenson, a model-turned-actress famous for her role in the film "Barry Lyndon".
Berenson met her future husband, Anthony Perkins, on the set of his film "Play It As It Lays" in 1972. The couple married in 1973 and went on to raise two sons together. They remained married until Perkins' passing in 1992 due to an AIDS-related illness.
Berenson was listed on the flight manifest as Berinthia Perkins when she tragically lost her life on September 11, 2001. She was one of over 3,000 victims who perished when American Airlines Flight 11 was deliberately crashed into the World Trade Center's North Tower.
Berenson's legacy lives on through her adult sons, Elvis Perkins, a musician, and Osgood Perkins, an actor.
