Biography

Barbara Enrichi was born in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, a small town nestled in the heart of the Chianti region, near the vibrant city of Florence. The artistic education she received had a profound impact on her career choice, as she went on to open a Graphic Studio in Florence, which she still operates to this day.

The artistic influences she received led her to expand her experiences and express herself creatively in various sectors. She participated in numerous Theatre Workshops held by Ugo Chiti in Tavarnelle, acting in almost all the plays presented by the Arca Azzurra Theatre Company for 14 years. Some of her notable performances include "Allegretto per bene... ma non troppo", "La Provincia di Jimmy", and "Paesaggio con figure".

She also acted in the play "Gianburrasca (un monello in casa Stoppani)" directed by Angelo Savelli from the Rifredi Theatre. Her cinematic debut came in 1990 when Alessandro Benvenuti noticed her in a play and asked her to join the cast of the film "Benvenuti in Casa Gori".

In 1991, she worked with Francesco Nuti in the film "Donne con le Gonne" and then took a hiatus from film to focus exclusively on theatre. Leonardo Pieraccioni offered her a small part in the film "I Laureati" and an artistic collaboration began. This partnership led to her inclusion in the cast of "Il Ciclone" (1996) and "Fuochi d'Artificio" (1997). Her performance in "Il Ciclone" earned her the "David di Donatello" award for best actress in a supporting role, catapulting her to fame.

In the same year, she acted in the film "Albergo Roma" with Ugo Chiti, which premiered at the 53rd Venice Film Festival, and in Alessandro Benvenuti's "Ritorno a Casa Gori". Her ability to play both comedic and dramatic roles has made her a household name, with notable performances in films like "Prima la musica... poi le parole" by Fulvio Wetzl (1998) and "I Volontari" by Domenico Costanzo.

In 1998, she also appeared in the comedies "Donne in Bianco" by Tonino Pulci and "Il Cielo cade" by Antonio and Andrea Frazzi, allowing her to showcase her range as an actress. Her first television appearances came in 1999, with a role in the comic series "Ciro" on the Italia 1 channel, followed by a film directed by the Frazzi brothers.

At the beginning of 1999, she announced her return to the theatre in a show written and directed by Alessandro Benvenuti, entitled "Contorno e la prontezza di Rosina", alongside Stefano Bicocchi (also known as Vito).
