Azize Erim is a multifaceted British-Turkish-American individual, excelling as an actress, comedian, and writer. In 2014, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a professional acting career.
Upon settling in LA, Azize enrolled in acting technique and improv classes at the esteemed Playhouse West Acting School and Repertory Theater. Within a year of her relocation, she produced her first short film, "The Rage Against Peace," which earned her a nomination for "Best Actress in Supporting Role" at the Playhouse Film Festival. She also appeared in various network shows, including "I'm Sorry," and documentaries, such as HBO's "The Inventor: Out For Blood In Silicon Valley." Furthermore, she landed roles in numerous commercials, played the lead in several short films, and secured supporting roles in future feature films.
The short film "Conscience," in which Azize played the lead, was accepted into the prestigious 2015 Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. In the same year, she met renowned acting coach Margie Haber and began taking classes from her. Azize also started working as an Assistant Teacher for kids' classes at Margie Haber's studio and is a regular student of the coach herself. Additionally, she is enrolled in improv and writing classes at UCB and commercial classes at Killian's Commercial Workshop.
Azize is an avid collaborator, creator, writer, and producer of projects. She can often be seen performing stand-up comedy at the Flappers and Comedy Store.
In 2016, Azize co-founded the "Broken English" sketch comedy channel on YouTube, alongside her partner Xenia LeBlanc. The duo writes, produces, directs, and acts in their comedy sketches, which have been featured in several festivals and on platforms like Funny or Die and Whohaha.
Philanthropy is also an essential aspect of Azize's life. In 2016, she became a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a foster child, actively working to improve the child's life. She also volunteers at animal shelters and performs improv for kids at hospitals.
