Ayse, a talented actress of mixed heritage, was born in London and has since become a global presence in the entertainment industry. With a dual nationality of Turkish and New Zealander, she has had the opportunity to travel extensively and has gained a reputation as a sought-after voice-over artist, in addition to her extensive screen work.
After graduating from the South Seas Film and Television School in New Zealand in 2002, Ayse made her television debut on the popular New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street. This was quickly followed by her first major film role in the US romantic comedy Meet Me in Miami.
In the following years, Ayse relocated to Sydney, where she secured leading roles in several Australian independent feature films, including Gene X and Court of Lonely Royals, which she supported at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. She then returned to London to study The Method and went on to play the female lead in the award-winning feature film Other Side of the Game.
Based back in New Zealand since late 2009, Ayse has continued to be a busy and versatile actress, appearing in numerous television shows, feature films, short films, commercials, and voice-over campaigns. She is perhaps best known for her roles as Canthara in the Starz television series Spartacus: War of the Damned and Maria opposite Robbie Magasiva in the box office hit Sione's 2: Unfinished Business.
