Noted Danish actor, Bent Strøbye, is widely recognized for his impressive comedic performances, particularly in the iconic roles of the befuddled uncle in "Min søsters børn" (My Sisters Children) and the cunning hustler, Gyldenkål, in "Familien Gyldenkål" (The Goldcabbage Family).
However, his most notable and successful role was undoubtedly his portrayal of the lawyer, Skjold Hansen, in the beloved TV series, "Matador". Strøbye's journey as an actor began with his education and training at Det Kongelige Teater (The Royal Danish Theater),where he honed his craft alongside other esteemed thespians. He also had the opportunity to work at Folketeatret (The People's Theater),further refining his skills and gaining valuable experience.
Strøbye made his cinematic debut in 1951 with a role in "Nåler", and went on to appear in numerous films throughout his illustrious career, concluding with a memorable performance as the aging inspector in the legendary "Olsen Banden" movies in 1998.
