Avan Jogia, a talented Vancouver native, commenced his acting career with a pivotal role as Danny Araujo in the acclaimed TV movie drama "A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story" (2006),directed by the renowned Oscar nominee Agnieszka Holland. Building upon this early success, Jogia went on to secure a recurring role on the SyFy Channel's hit series "Caprica" (2009) and later became a series regular on the CW's "Aliens in America" (2007).
Avan Jogia's breakthrough performance came when he landed the lead role as Beck on Nickelodeon's Emmy-nominated series "Victorious" (2010),catapulting him to widespread recognition. More recently, he has been seen as Danny Desai on ABC Family's "Twisted" (2013).
Beyond his acting career, Avan Jogia is deeply committed to promoting youth human rights and equality. He serves as a Peace First Ambassador for Peacefirst.org, hosts the PBS series "Reel Works," and is the founder of the national charitable organization Straight But Not Narrow.
