Austin Ku is a renowned Asian American stage and screen actor, currently residing in New York City. His extensive training in theater and music has led to numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
Born in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA, Ku began his artistic journey at a young age, studying classical music on the violin, piano, and singing. He went on to attend Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he earned a degree in Asian Studies with a focus on Chinese Culture, History, and Language. During his time at Rice, he developed conversational fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
Ku's academic pursuits continued at UC Berkeley School of Law, where he briefly practiced entertainment law before returning to school for a graduate degree in theater and musical theater from The Boston Conservatory, now known as The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
After completing his education, Ku relocated to New York City, where he is now a full-time performer, having honed his craft through his diverse educational and professional experiences.
