Armin Nasseri, a multi-talented Persian-American screenwriter, actor, editor, and director, hails from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. With a passion for the craft, he began acting at the tender age of 14, subsequently working on both studio and independent projects in Wilmington, North Carolina.
As he entered his early twenties, Armin relocated to Southern California, where he furthered his education at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, L.A. City College, and West L.A. College. He immersed himself in film production, ultimately accumulating over 30 film production credits to his name.
As an artist, Armin has a penchant for edgy and boundary-pushing creative endeavors. His project, "Jump," premiered at the Intercollegiate Film Festival in Los Angeles, garnering attention and acclaim.
Armin's subsequent endeavor, the psychological thriller "Seeking Valentina," has garnered international attention for its gender- and ethnically-balanced casting, compelling themes, and storytelling structure. The film has screened globally, earning numerous nominations and awards, including an Honorable Mention from the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards, a Special Festival Mention from Delhi Shorts International Film Festival, and a Special Mention Jury award at Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival.
"Seeking Valentina" has continued to rack up accolades, winning 14 nominations and five awards at the FANtastic Horror Film Festival, including Best Director. Armin's work has also been recognized at the Bare Bones International Film & Music Festival, where he won Best Editing and Best Supporting Actor, and at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, where he received a Remi Award.
Furthermore, "Seeking Valentina" has taken home the Best Horror Film award at the Silicon Beach Film Festival and earned two nominations, including Best L.A. Filmmaker, at the Glendale International Film Festival. The film has also received the Indie Spirit Award at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema.
