Biography

Antoine Monot, Jr, a Swiss citizen, was born in Germany in 1975. He embarked on a career in public relations, managing numerous mandates for touring theater groups following his training as a director at the renowned Hochschule für Musik und Theater Zürich.

In 1993, Monot, Jr. produced the short film "Timing" for the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Zürich. His subsequent endeavors as an actor in German films include appearances in "Jazz" (1994),"Gigantics" (1999),"Lammbock" (2001),"The Experiment" (2001),"The Family Jewels" (2003),and "Blaue Grenze, Die" (2005).

In 1999, Monot, Jr. co-founded the Creative Arts Management Talent Agency in Zurich, later expanding to Munich and Cologne, alongside Karl Spoerri. He played a pivotal role in the agency's development, initially as an agent and subsequently as a consultant, until its dissolution in 2005.

Since 2004, Monot, Jr has written a regular column, initially for the youth magazine "Blond" and later for www.kolumnen.de/monot.html.

In 2004, he took on the responsibility for developing and presenting the English digital film festival "onedotzero_adventures in moving image", set to take place in Zurich in the Autumn of 2006.

Furthermore, Antoine Monot, Jr is a founding member of the Zurich Film Festival and serves as the festival's Programme Director.
