Anthony Straeger, a native of Yorkshire, hailing from the renowned "God's County", grew up in the industrial town of Bradford. He pursued higher education by graduating from York University, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
Anthony's passion for music led him to join the rock band ExCel, and he embarked on a thrilling tour around the UK and Europe. Although the band disbanded in 1982, he did not let this setback deter him from chasing his dreams.
Undeterred, Anthony relocated to London to pursue his acting career, where he honed his skills by touring the UK and Germany in various theatre productions. His talent and dedication eventually caught the attention of the BBC, which led to him working on a children's TV series.
Anthony's entrepreneurial spirit soon took over, and he founded his own production company, Quid In Shrapnel. Over the next decade, the company produced a plethora of documentaries and films, solidifying Anthony's reputation as a talented producer.
However, Anthony's journey was not without its challenges. He relocated to Berlin in 2005, where he shifted his focus towards writing. He developed numerous scripts, published a series of articles, and eventually published his first book in 2016, titled "Something that has amused, confused and helped him over the years", which delved into the subject of time management.
Anthony's passion for film festivals led him to co-found Germany's first sci-fi film festival, Berlin Sci-fi Filmfest, in 2017. He also became associated with the Haunted House FearFest in the UK, which flourished until the pandemic struck. The festivals' impact on his life inspired him to write his second book, "An Independent Filmmakers Guide to Preparing and Submitting to Film Festivals", which was released in 2020.
Throughout his illustrious career, Anthony has continued to write and act, leaving a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
