Andrew Gurland, a multifaceted writer, director, and showrunner, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. His most notable achievement is the creation of the critically acclaimed comedy series "Married", which aired on FX from 2014 to 2015.

Gurland is also recognized as a pioneer of the found footage movement, with his documentary-style feature films "Mail Order Wife" (2004),"Last Exorcism" (2010),and "Virginity Hit" (2010) being some of the earliest and most authentic entries in the genre.

In addition to his work in the found footage genre, Gurland co-directed the documentary "Frat House" with Todd Phillips, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 1998.
