Andrei Zayats was born in Rostov-na-Donu, Russian Federation, where he began his life's journey. Later, he relocated to Riga, Latvia, with his parents, and, as a result, became a naturalized EU citizen.
He spent a significant portion of his formative years in France, where he resided and pursued his education for a period of five years. Subsequently, he made the transition to the United Kingdom, where he graduated from the esteemed Birmingham School of Acting in the year 2008. Currently, he is residing in London, United Kingdom.
Andrei is multilingual, possessing fluency in Russian, English, Latvian, and French. As an accomplished actor, he has worked extensively in the realms of Film, Theatre, Television, and Voiceover. He is a proud member of several esteemed organizations, including EQUITY, BECTU, and AFDAS.
Andrei Zayats has had the privilege of playing a supporting lead role, Kovanski, in the French period drama "Madame Solario" (CANAL+),which was set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Como, Italy. The production was masterfully directed by Rene Feret and filmed in August and September 2011 in France and Italy.
In 2011, he appeared in the blockbuster film "X-Men: First Class" (FOX),where he played the role of a Russian soldier. He also appeared as a Russian officer, Dimitri, in "Mercenaries" (ABC Films). Furthermore, in 2010, he made a notable appearance as a Russian chess champion, Viktor Viktorious, in the BBC TV series "Dani's House".
Andrei is a qualified teacher of stage combat, having earned certification from the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat. Additionally, he is a member of the esteemed Society of American Fight Directors.
