Biography

Andreas Baum, a multifaceted individual, pursued a law degree in Göttingen, Germany.

As a television-journalist, writer, director, and producer, Baum has been working for various esteemed organizations since 1987, including ZDF, ZDFinfo, ARTE, 3sat, ARD, and MDR.

In his early years, Baum acted as a child in the movie "Lausbubenstreiche".

Baum is the founder and owner of the production company "EXIT Film- und Fernsehproduktion", which has enabled him to work on a wide range of projects, including investigative television programs such as "Frontal 21" (ZDF),"WISO" (ZDF),and "Umschau" (MDR).

In addition to his work on television programs, Baum has also written, directed, and produced documentaries, often exceeding 90 minutes in length, for networks such as ZDFzoom, ARTE, ZDFinfo, 3sat, and "Umschau Extra" (MDR/ARD).

Baum's most notable achievement was winning the "Gold World Medal" at the New York Festivals' "World's Best Television and Films 2015" for his ZDF/ARTE documentary "The Lot of Fun: Where the movies learned to laugh", in which he served as writer, director, and producer.
