Biography

Amy Castle, a Los Angeles native, was privately educated at home as an only child. Her early life was filled with laughter and music, as she grew up watching classic TV shows such as I Love Lucy, Lamb Chop's Play Along, and Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. In fact, she was exposed to great comedic and musical performances from a very young age. One particular memory stands out, where she memorized Lucille Ball's entire monologue of Vitameatavegamin from a VHS tape in 1994, and would recite it to her mother in their Valley Village apartment kitchen.

Amy's mother soon enrolled her in a local performing arts Academy to study acting, dance, and singing. At the age of 8, she booked her first theatrical audition, and went on to recur as young Calista Flockhart on the hit FOX series Ally McBeal from 1998-2000. Over the next decade, Amy attended hundreds of auditions, driven by her mother, and met top television casting directors, writers, and producers.

In 2002, Amy won a Young Artist Award for her role as Andie in Lizzie McGuire, specifically for her performance as a guest starring young actress. This episode was filmed in September 2001, and was one of the few shows to continue production on September 11, 2001.

Music played a significant role in Amy's life, as both her parents wrote and recorded songs in their home recording studio. Her mother even wrote a children's album entitled BALLOONS, which her father produced and recorded as the artist. The album featured 11 tracks, including one sung by three-year-old Amy, known as The Cuppycake Song. The song was uploaded to the internet in 1996 and quickly gained popularity, racking up 1 million audio plays on a third-party website. Fast forward 28 years, The Cuppycake Song has become a viral sensation on TikTok, with millions of plays of Amy's three-year-old voice every day.
