Alonso Grandio's life story began in Mexico City, Mexico, where he was born to Alejandro Grandio Andion and Aida Maria Alegria de Grandio. From a young age, he was drawn to the world of acting and desired to play a multitude of characters across various fields. As a teenager, he pondered, "What better way to do so than through acting?" This thought sparked a fire within him, and he auditioned for a school play at the tender age of 14, securing a small role and instantly contracting "the bug" of acting.
Alonso's academic pursuits led him to graduate from Universidad Anahuac Mexico in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences. However, his true passion lay in the world of acting, and he made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, California in 2013. For the next four years, he immersed himself in the film industry, honing his craft and studying the ins and outs of the business.
It was during this time that he met his future wife, Monique Grandio, and the couple decided to take a leap of faith and relocate to South Africa in 2017. Since then, Alonso has made a name for himself in the South African film industry, landing roles in popular TV series such as Rhythm City, Legacy, and The Docket, among others. A breakthrough role in Olivier Megaton's The Last Days of American Crime further solidified his position in the industry.
To this day, Alonso continues to work tirelessly in the film industry, both locally and internationally, with a passion that remains unwavering.
