Alma Moreno, a Filipino actress, has made a lasting impact on both the film and television industries. Born Venessa Lacasamana on May 25, 1959, in Cervantes, Ilocos Sur, she is the daughter of Frank Lacsamana and Jean Moreno, a couple who lived a simple yet noble life.
Alma's acting career began with her debut in the 1970 film "Urduja" alongside Amalia Fuentes. Her breakthrough role came with "Ligaw na Bulaklak Part 2" in 1976, where she starred alongside Vic Silayan and was directed by the renowned Philippine National Artist Ishmael Bernal.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Alma appeared in numerous films, earning her the title "Sex Goddess of Philippine Movies". She worked with Bernal again on the critically acclaimed film "City After Dark" and also starred in other notable films such as "Makati Avenue Office Girls" and "Mga Bilanggong Birhen".
Alma's versatility as an actress allowed her to excel in a range of genres, from sexy and drama films to comedy. She hosted several highly-rated television variety shows in the 1980s, earning her the title Shining Star. Alma is also an accomplished dancer and popularized the "Tangga" outfit in her TV shows.

In the 2000s, Alma divided her time between her professional commitments and personal projects, including her work with GMA-7 and her involvement in socio-civic and community development projects for the women of Paranaque.
Alma ran for mayor of Paranaque City in 2004 but lost. She made a comeback to film in 2004 with the movie "Kapalit" and later became a resident judge on the defunct dance contest "You Can Dance".
