Allan's journey began after graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, where he pursued acting while simultaneously modeling for two years, awaiting the opportunity to become an MTV VJ (video jockey) in Taiwan.
This marked a significant milestone, as Allan became the first individual from the United States to be invited by MTV to join their music channel in Asia. With limited knowledge of Mandarin Chinese, Allan embarked on an intense nine-month learning journey, consisting of classes and private tutoring, to master the language and successfully adapt to the Mandarin medium in Taiwan.
Following his Taiwanese experience, Allan relocated to Singapore, where he ignited his career as an actor and host, earning the reputation as one of the most sought-after hunks on screen. His acting credits span leading roles in both English and Chinese serial dramas, as well as feature films.
With an insatiable appetite for action and adventure, Allan landed the coveted hosting spot for The Amazing Race Asia, a production that has been telecast throughout Asia and introduced Allan to the entire region.
Refusing to rest on his laurels, Allan continuously pushes his limits and tests his abilities with new challenges and projects, which has led to his selection as brand ambassador and spokesperson for prominent companies such as Tag Heuer luxury watches, True Yoga and True Fitness centers, Carlsberg beer, and Taylor's University-Malaysia.
This inherent commitment to excel has enabled Allan to maintain his status as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, while also expanding his reach through various brand endorsements and collaborations.
