Aleksei Tolstoy

Aleksei Tolstoy, a renowned Russian writer, entered this world on September 5, 1817, in the culturally rich city of St. Petersburg, which was then part of the Russian Empire, but is now a part of the modern-day country of Russia. This extraordinary individual would go on to leave an indelible mark on the literary world, his works including the iconic "Black Sabbath" (1963),the haunting "Night of the Devils" (1972),and the eerie "Ghouls" (2017). Throughout his life, Tolstoy was blessed with a loving partnership with Sophia Andreyevna Miller, his devoted wife. Unfortunately, his time on this earth came to an end on October 10, 1875, in the small town of Krasny Rog, located in the Chernigov Governorate of the Russian Empire, which is now part of the Bryansk Oblast in Russia.
