Biography

Aleksander's early life was marked by his birth and upbringing in Moscow, where his father's profession as a navy commander played a significant role in shaping his childhood. Growing up, Aleksander's passion for hockey was evident, and he aspired to become a renowned hockey player. However, his other passion, theatre, eventually took precedence, and after completing his education, he decided to pursue a career as an actor.

Despite his initial failure to gain admission to the prestigious Schepkin Theatrical school, Aleksander persevered and worked as an assistant at "Mosfilm", the largest Soviet Film studio, during the subsequent year. The following year, he successfully enrolled in MHAT (The Moscow art academic theatre) Theatrical school, where he graduated in 1980.

For the next seven years, Aleksander worked with the infamous Soviet Army Theatre, honing his craft and gaining valuable experience. However, his on-screen persona belied his true nature as a soft-hearted and kind individual in real life, who is also very emotional. Aleksander's personal life is filled with love and devotion, as he is married to his beloved spouse, Maria, and is the proud father of their daughter, Maria Aleksandrovna Balueva, born on July 8, 2003.

The couple's romance blossomed during the filming of "Richard the Lion-Hearted" in Koktebejl, Crimea, where Maria was on vacation. Aleksander's life is a testament to the power of perseverance, passion, and love.
